SEEK’s credential passport Certsy to be rebranded as SEEK Pass

The Certsy credential passport used by 2.5 million Australian and New Zealand job seekers is embracing the SEEK brand in 2024 to accelerate and to reinforce the growing role of trusted data in SEEK’s marketplaces across APAC.

SEEK announced today that is verified credential passport, Certsy, will be rebranded as SEEK Pass.

Started in 2016, Certsy has become the leading credential passport in the Australia and New Zealand labour markets. To date, 2.5 million people, or over 15% of the labour force, have upgraded their SEEK Profile by adding a total of five million verified credentials.

Rebranding Certsy to SEEK Pass will create an integrated experience for job seekers, while reinforcing the key role that trusted and verified data has to play in the future of SEEK’s job marketplaces. SEEK Pass will soon be rolled out to SEEK’s other marketplaces in South East Asia, Jobstreet and Jobsdb, on SEEK’s newly unified platform across the region.

SEEK Pass General Manager, Xavier Russo says having trusted and reliable information available early in the hiring process helps make employment markets work better for everyone. “SEEK data shows that verified job seekers are standing out and have a higher chance of being shortlisted, while employers tell us they see real value in being able to quickly and confidently identify candidates who fit their job requirements,”.

Forty percent of recent job applicants on SEEK Australia already have verified credentials on their SEEK Profiles. A large opportunity exists to improve the awareness and understanding of trusted data by rebranding the credential passport on SEEK’s platform.

SEEK Pass is also now integrated with SEEK’s Talent Search and Premium Talent Search products, meaning that a hirer can see if a potential candidate has verified working rights in Australia, with or without restrictions. With more verified credentials to follow, employers can easily and quickly identify ‘job-ready’ candidates while searching for the right person for the role.

“This is a great example of how SEEK Pass adds new value into SEEK’s existing offerings, helping candidates stand out to hirers and giving hirers more confidence that some of the basic job requirements are met, upfront,” said Xavier Russo.

As the Australian Government consults on the potential for a National Skills Passport, SEEK’s Head of Government Relations, Kadi Taylor, says: “Specialist credential passport providers, like SEEK Pass, are already supporting the efficient matching of millions of job seekers with job opportunities across Australia and New Zealand. From formal education and training qualificationsto right to work, driver’s licences and dozens of industry specific credentials – the labour market is well served by existing providers.

“We are looking forward to working with the government to help create an efficient and effective ecosystem for skills passports that highlight job seekers skills and helps them to stand out and to support employers in making informed decisions.”

Both of Certsy’s existing product offerings – the credential passport for individuals, and the Certsy Workplace compliance platform for employers - will adopt the new SEEK Pass brand.

The brand change from Certsy to SEEK Pass will commence in the coming months with visible logo changes and customer communications. All relevant touchpoints on Certsy and SEEK will be gradually updated throughout 2024 to align to the new brand and SEEK style guidelines. The website domain will move in due course from https://certsy.com to https://seekpass.co.
